DALLAS – Adrian Wilson smiled for a selfie, two more fans waiting patiently Sunday night to have a chance to speak with the Cardinals' Ring of Honor member.

Wilson, along with fellow former Cardinals Markus Golden and Patrick Peterson, were amid a portion of the Red Sea on the second day of a three-day journey to Texas that culminates with "Monday Night Football" in the inaugural Premier Travel experience though the team.

It is a perspective the players didn't have when they were on the field, being cheered on by these same people.

"Now you realize the passion," Wilson said. "The number of years of people with season tickets, hearing the stories from the years about the different players and you understand it. On the other side, you're like, 'Damn, there are 70,000 people that go to that stadium that feel the same way.' When you think of those things, and how fans are, it gives you a better idea."

On this night it was a gathering at a local lounge, TVs everywhere showing "Sunday Night Football" but on this perfectly pleasant Texas night, it was fans interacting with the Cardinals' legends and each other with the Cardinals-Cowboys on deck the next evening.

They had come on the same type of plane the Cardinals use to fly on road trips, experiencing the same type of flight. Wilson and Golden had been on the Saturday flight as well. (Peterson, who recently got a gig doing analysis of college games with CBS, met the group in Dallas.)

"I love people. I love having the conversations," Peterson said. "But I can imagine it might be weird for some of them, if they remember, 'Hey he should've made that one play that time.'

"But this is amazing, the fans have a chance to interact with us and share their cool stories about us when we were playing. It's awesome."

The Cardinals plan to expand the Premier Travel experiences during the 2026 season.

Golden has been active in working with the team since his retirement, not a surprise when he said often in his playing days that he felt the Cardinals were where he belonged, even with stints with the Giants and Steelers.

Hanging out with the Birdgang on this trip only felt natural.

"It'll never change," Golden said. "The Cardinals are who drafted me, it's where I always wanted to be. The business side is the business side, and a lot of stuff goes on on the business side. But when you retire, all these fans show you love, so to come out here and travel with the fans and make them happy, it makes me happy too.

"I haven't played in a while, so it felt like I was back on the team with that plane we were on. But the fans are the best part."

The Arizona Cardinals and Gridiron Air host the first fan trip through the Premier Travel experience to the Week 9 Monday Night Football game against the Dallas Cowboys in Arlington, TX.
