After the team arrived in the hotel, coach Ken Whisenhunt had a brief press conference with a suprising number of TV cameras. The first thing was Whiz's mention of the rally at Sky Harbor airport. "It was a great send-off," he said. "We had a nice bunch of fans there who were glad to see us go."
Much of the talk was about the Cards' timing -- coming in Friday instead of Thursday night, dealing with a night game, those types of things. Whisenhunt said to come in any earlier than today would have been tough because "it seems like it takes for forever for the game to actually get here."
Someone asked Whiz if he liked playing night games, and he smiled. "I like any games in the second round of the playoffs." As far as the 8:15 p.m. ET kickoff, "It is easier than a 1 o'clock start on the East coast, but if we don't play well, it's not going to matter."
