As the NFL Network's annual top 100 list has moved along, the Cardinals have been absent -- until Monday, when three guys (and presumably the only three Cards who will make the list) all landed between the 23rd and 28th positions.
Linebacker Chandler Jones, who had 17 sacks this season, was 28th. Wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald, who had 109 catches for 1,156 yards, was the 27th-ranked player. And finally, cornerback Patrick Peterson was 23rd.
Jones moved up from 85th a year ago (and he was 48th the summer after he was traded from the Patriots, coming off his last year in New England.) Fitzgerald moved up from 45 back to the 27th spot where he was after 2015 (and is now 8-for-8 in appearing on the list since it began, with the highest rank of seventh coming after the 2011 season.) Peterson, meanwhile, is 7-for-7, having been 19th after the 2016 season. His highest rank has been 18th, although I'm guessing he'll believe there should've been a higher rank in there somewhere. Like this year.
