I'll have a story up later, but today was almost the end of OTAs (the team still has tomorrow). It was the last time coach Ken Whisenhunt was meeting with the media before he goes on vacation. The coaching staff will be gone for a significant chunk of time, which is good. For one, they haven't really gotten a full break since the season ended, thanks to the Super Bowl and then all the changes in the staff. Better to work hard for a while and then recharge before camp. Hopefully, the players will take the same tact.
Whiz did mention Lance Long as someone who had stood out to him over the past month. I will say that Long has made a ton of plays in practice, in total, since last season. Can he carry that over to say, preseason games? We'll see. There is no more difficult position to make the team than receiver.
