49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo celebrates a score against the Jaguars.
SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS
Last time out: 49ers 44, Jaguars 33
Record: 5-10 overall, 0-5 in division
Snapshot: Quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo continued to dazzle, throwing for 242 yards and two touchdowns as San Francisco knocked off one of the best teams in the AFC. The Jaguars rallied from a 16-0 hole to take a three-point lead early in the third quarter, but the 49ers scored 21 unanswered points to regain control.
Notable: San Francisco defensive back Dontae Johnson returned an interception 50 yards for a touchdown, which was one of three takeaways by the defense. The 49ers are now 4-0 in starts by Garoppolo after winning only one of 11 games prior.
Quotable: "Things are going good right now. There's a buzz in the air. You can feel it as soon as you walk into the stadium. The crowd's going nuts just in pregame. It's exciting. It's a nice thing to be a part of." – Garoppolo, via the Associated Press, on the turnaround in San Francisco.
Key Stat:2.7. The yards-per-carry average for Jaguars standout running back Leonard Fournette on 18 carries.
Next up: The 49ers travel to face the Rams in the season finale.

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS
Last time out: Seahawks 21, Cowboys 12
Record: 9-6 overall, 4-1 in division
Snapshot: Seattle mustered only 136 yards of total offense but still came away with a victory to keep its playoff hopes alive. A defense that was dominated by the Rams last time out forced three turnovers, including a 30-yard interception return for a touchdown by Justin Coleman in the third quarter to give the Seahawks the lead.
Notable: Quarterback Russell Wilson was 14-of-21 for only 93 passing yards, but he did throw touchdown passes to tight end Jimmy Graham and wide receiver Doug Baldwin. The Seahawks can still make the playoffs if they beat the Cardinals in Week 17 and the Falcons lose to the Panthers.
Quotable: "We've been doing this since I've been here the past seven years. Whenever our backs are against the wall, we just find a way to bounce back. This team is not going to lie down easily. We could have easily taken the loss against the Rams, come back, pouted and moaned all throughout the week. But we are a group of guys that love to play ball and we know that we are a talented football team. So we came out and handled business today." Linebacker K.J. Wright, via Seahawks.com, on the team's resilience.
Key Stat:2. The number of passing yards the Seahawks had at the half.
Next up: The Seahawks host the Cardinals in the regular season finale.
