Anquan Boldin was back at practice without limits Wednesday, so much so that in regards to his ankle injury, "it's not even an injury," he said.

"I can make every cut without hesitation, so I'm good," the receiver said.

His health, Boldin would talk about. The issues Sunday – when he was upset after being made inactive because of his ankle and complained he wasn't told properly – weren't going to be a topic.

Asked if he had any regrets, Boldin bluntly said "not at all," and then closed the door on the subject.

"I said what I had to say and I am done with it," Boldin said. "For me it's not even an issue. That was Sunday and I have moved on."

Having talked about it Monday, coach Ken Whisenhunt didn't go back to the subject either.

"I am just glad to see him back out there practicing today," Whisenhunt said.

Boldin had just said recently he didn't think his ankle would be 100 percent this season, and he reiterated Wednesday "your body is not going to be 100 percent during the football season."
 
"But," Boldin added, "my ankle feels great."


Boldin was able to crack a smile when asked if he was definitely going to play Sunday. "That's not up to me," he said.

INJURY UPDATE

Boldin may have come back, but a handful of other players were forced to sit out Wednesday: linebacker Gerald Hayes (back), linebacker Chike Okeafor (back), wide receiver Sean Morey (head), defensive lineman Kenny Iwebema (knee) and tackle Mike Gandy (pelvis).

Whisenhunt said he was optimistic on the injuries, particularly Gandy, who is part of an offensive line that has started 28 straight games together. If Gandy does have a problem playing, Whisenhunt said Jeremy Bridges would play in his place. Whisenhunt wants to keep as much continuity on the line as possible, and Bridges started at both guard and tackle for Carolina last season.

Tight end Ben Patrick (knee) and wide receiver Steve Breaston (knee) were both limited.

FITZ'S FOCUS

The first player Whisenhunt mentioned as someone who has played consistently through half a season was wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald. But Fitzgerald paused when he heard such a suggestion.

"I'm going at a decent enough clip," Fitzgerald said. "But I expect more out of myself and I know Coach expects more out of me too. I'm just going to keep giving maximum effort on Sundays and hope for the best."

It has been more difficult to get Fitzgerald the ball, and he has had a couple of passes he couldn't hold that he seemed to snare every time last season. Yet Fitzgerald has 56 catches for 632 yards and seven touchdowns this season – which projects to 112 receptions, 1,264 yards and 14 touchdowns by the end of the year.

STAT CHANGE

There has been a change on a sack awarded in the Bears game. Originally awarded to Okeafor, a third-quarter sack has now been split between Okeafor and defensive end Calais Campbell. The change means both Campbell and Okeafor now have 3½ sacks this season.
