Cardinals coach Bruce Arians smiles alongside fan Kenny Salinas while signing autographs Tuesday, his signature hats and shirts in the background.
Bruce Arians loves his signature hats.
He's hoping the public's love of them can help the Arians Foundation.
The Cardinals' coach unveiled his 2016 line of New Era hats Tuesday evening, and announced that – in conjunction with Just Sports stores in the Valley – 100 percent of the proceeds from the Arians hats and the Arians State Forty Eight-designed T-shirts will go to the Arians Foundation.
That money benefits children in Maricopa County through CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates),
something Arians' wife Chris has worked within much of her life.
"I can't be any more excited about it," Arians said.
The hats and shirts are available at all Just Sports locations.
Arians debuted his red and black houndstooth hat, a tribute to his mentor and one-time boss, legendary Alabama coach Bear Bryant.
"It's wool -- won't be able to wear it as much as the others ," Arians said with a smile. "But it is very special to me."
Arians said the New Era line still doesn't mean he can wear the hats on the sideline on a weekly basis, but he wore a special hat on "Monday Night Football" for the Cardinals' Breast Cancer Awareness game and he said he hopes to have a camouflage version to wear for the team's Salute to Service game.
"Hopefully I can bring more awareness to each cause the NFL is part of," Arians said. "New Era is so great to manufacture the hats. It's not so much about making a statement as it is creating more awareness for each and every one of those events."
