With the regular season complete, the Cardinals signed seven players to "future" contracts Monday, locking them in for the offseason 90-man roster.
One of the players is punter Ryan Winslow, who spent time on both the Cards' active roster and practice squad earlier this season. The other six were all on the practice squad to end the season. They are:
- WR Johnnie Dixon
- DL Lyndon Johnson
- OL Sam Jones
- WR A.J. Richardson
- CB Sojourn Shelton
- CB Duke Thomas
The new league year begins March 18, when the Cardinals can officially expand the roster to 90 players. That is also the date in which free agency begins and trades can again be made. Up until that date, teams are allowed to re-sign any of their own players scheduled to reach free agency.
