1st Quarter

Neil Rackers' kickoff short, high kick taken by
Jets first-and-10 from their 29-yard line. Leon Washington carries up the middle for four yards, then takes a pitch from Brett Favre and runs for one yard around left end. On third-and-five at the 34, Favre's pass to Dustin Keller deep over the middle broken up by Antrel Rolle. Fourth-and-five, Ben Graham's punt of 45 yards taken by Steve Breaston at the 21, stopped for no return.
Cardinals' first possession begins at their 21-yard line, 13:15 left in the opening period. Edgerrin James up the middle for two yards, then Kurt Warner passes complete to Larry Fitzgerald on slant for 16 yards and a first down. Tim Hightower takes a pitch left and finds one yard, then Warner connects with James in right flat for 16 yards to the 44. First-and-10 now at the 44, Warner hit again in the pocket but finds Breaston for six to the Jets 38-yard line. James carries up the middle for three, and on third-and-one Hightower off left guard for three yards and a first down at the 32, clock ticking with9:36 left. Warner passes incomplete over the middle for Fitzgerald, then throws to Anquan Boldin for 23 yards. Now first-and-goal at the eight, Warner's pass to Fitzgerald on fade in the end zone too long. Second-and-goal, Warner stripped by Jet Shaun Ellis, ball recovered by James at the 32-yard line. On third-and-32, Warner passes complete to Boldin near left sideline, but Jet defensive back Dwight Lowery knocks the ball loose, recovered by Hank Poteat and returned 14 yards to the 43-yard line.
Jets now first-and-10 at the 43, 7:40 to play in the first quarter. Favre passes deep over the middle to Laveraneus Coles, then screen left to Leon Washington goes for nine. On third-and-one at the 48, Favre rolls right, passes left, but ball intercepted by Card Chike Okeafor at the 45, returns 21 yards to the 34.
Cardinals first-and-10 at the 21, James goes for seven yards up the middle, then adds one more yard off right guard. On third-and-two at the eight, Warner under pressure and throws the ball away, but called for intentional grounding. Result of penalty places the ball at the 20. Rackers' 37-yard field goal try blocked by Kris Jenkins, recovered at the 49.
Jets begin drive first-and-10 at the 49, 5:02 to play in the quarter. Thomas Jones picks up four yards up the middle, then runs for one yard up the middle. On third-and-five at the Card 44, Favre complete to Jones for four yards. On fourth-and-one at the 40, Jones runs left for two yards and a first down. First-and-10 at the 38, Favre complete to Chris Baker middle for nine, then passes left to Jericho Cotchery for three and a first down at the26, clock ticking with just over one minute left. On first down, Favre passes to wide-open Bubba Franks for 25 yards to the one. On first-and-goal, Jones dropped for loss of one by Aaron Francisco as clock runs out in first period.

2nd Quarter
Second quarter begins with Jets second-and-two at the two. Favre passes left to Franks for touchdown, but Jets called for holding. Now second-and-12 at the 12, Favre passes incomplete. Third-and-goal at the 12, Favre with time fires pass over the middle to Coles in the end zone for the touchdown. Jay Feely adds the extra point, Jets take 7-0 lead with 14:44 left in the first half. Drive was 10 plays, 49 yards, 5:18 time of possession.
Feely' kickoff taken by Breaston at the eight, returns 16 yards to the 24, 14:38 left in the half. James runs middle for two yards, then stopped for no gain to set up third-and-8 at the 26. Cards in no-huddle, Warner passes right, intercepted by Jet Darrelle Revis at the 32, returns untouched to the end zone for a touchdown. Feely adds the extra point, Jets push lead to 14-0.

On third-and-one at the 10, Jones runs for two yards and a first down. First-and-goal at the eight, Washington runs left, but Cards called for facemask penalty. Now first-and-goal at the five, Washington goes up the middle for one yard, then Favre's pass to Coles in the end zone broken up by Ralph Brown.
