Wide receiver Andy Isabella, if there was really any doubt, is on the roster.
So too is third quarterback Chris Streveler, camp standout wide receiver Antoine Wesley, defensive lineman Michael Dogbe and sixth-round picks Victor Dimukeje and Tay Gowan.
Veteran safeties Shawn Williams and Chris Banjo were let go, but the Cardinals still have experience at the position. Cornerback Malcolm Butler was placed on the Reserve/Retired list, saving a spot on the roster as well. As of now, the Cardinals officially have 52 on the team.
That's how the initial roster looks for the Cardinals, knowing they still have to account for guard Justin Pugh and cornerback Robert Alford once those players come off the Reserve/COVID-19 list.
"Initial" is an important description. Not only do Pugh and Alford must be accounted for, but any waiver additions or other signings means a roster spot must be found, so there are players on the roster now who likely will not be on the 53-man roster on Monday. The team will fill out a 16-man practice squad -- most of them from the names released in the last 36 hours -- and will be able to bring back tight end Bernhard Seikovits with an international player exemption.
