DeAndre Hopkins is in the middle of a potential Hall of Fame career and doesn't expect to leave the playing field anytime soon. But once he does, he still plans on chasing a Lombardi Trophy.
"I see myself managing a great organization and winning a Super Bowl for that organization," Hopkins said. "I've always had aspirations of being general manager or (in) some sort of management."
Then again, Hopkins said it doesn't have to be with an NFL team. He'd be open to being part of management in baseball, basketball or soccer. (Maybe Suns part-owner Larry Fitzgerald would look over D-Hop's resumé.)
Hopkins has talked about his layers beyond football. He enjoys fashion, travel, food and the outdoors. He wants to get into interior design. He will soon debut a clothing line called Star Hopkins, through a partnership with the brand Golden Goose.
"I wear a helmet, so it's hard to get to know me," he said.
"I'd love to be seen outside of just a football player because I am more," Hopkins added. "A lot of the guys in the locker room are more than just a typical athlete."
