Our final day on tour is a relaxing day with no agenda but to prepare for the 24 hours of travel time home. It was the perfect opportunity to reflect on an incredible and once in a life time experience that the last two weeks has afforded us.
What an absolutely rewarding experience this has been! Not only for the exciting adventures with the Black Hawks, C-130 rides, shooting range, MRAP, F16, and Predator tours, but MOST importantly for the personal interaction and entertainment we were able to bring to the men and woman who needed it most!
To see the smiles and hear the gratitude from commanders saying they "haven't seen soldiers smile like this since they have been here" or to hear a soldier say he got a tear in his eye when we performed the lyrical routine, "American Soldier", is the true reason we are here and has made this the most rewarding experience of my life.
Seeing and experiencing the way of life for a soldier and being away from home brings us back to reality and gives a deeper appreciation for the time we are able to spend with our family and friends, along with gratitude for amenities we often take for granted.
THANK YOU, to all the men and woman who have and are serving and protecting our country. You are an incredible asset to this great nation and your service is valued more than you know!
