One last note on the Adrian Wilson contract, now that Kent Somers dug up the exact numbers from the contract. Interesting that Wilson gets only a $1 million signing bonus, as opposed to two years of guaranteed salaries ($8.5M in 2009, $6.5M in 2010). I don't know how the deal was affected by the rules in place heading into a possible uncapped 2010 season, or even a potential lockout in 2011. An extra $1M in workout bonuses should be easy for A-Dub to collect. He's got no reason not to show up for the voluntary stuff now.
Also interesting to see the 2011 salary is "only" $3M, given that it could be lost in an interrupted season. My guess is that that's why Wilson has a $3M roster bonus that season – because if football is played that year but some of the season is lost, I would guess Wilson would get all his roster bonus (because he'll be on the roster) and lose a smaller portion because of lost games (as opposed to taking a $6M salary and losing more every week games aren't played). That's just a guess, but I figure an educated one.
