Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald runs from Texans cornerback Johnathan Joseph after a catch in Sunday's 62-35 NFC win in the Pro Bowl.

Larry Fitzgerald wasn't named to the NFC Pro Bowl roster until Tuesday, but once again, he made his presence felt in the game once he was there.

Fitzgerald – who was an unexpected Pro Bowl alternate after a season where he had just 71 catches and 798 yards – finished with six catches for 59 yards and a touchdown in the NFC's 62-35 victory at Aloha Stadium in Aiea, Hawaii.

Fitzgerald's touchdown gave him his eighth career receiving touchdown in his seven Pro Bowls, extending his own NFL record.

Fitzgerald was one of three Cardinals to play in the Pro Bowl, joining cornerback Patrick

Peterson and linebacker Daryl Washington. Peterson was voted in. Fitzgerald replaced the injured Chicago's Brandon Marshall. Washington replaced San Francisco's NaVorro Bowman, who missed the game because the 49ers are in the Super Bowl.

The Cardinals' trio – and their NFC teammates – each collected $50,000 for the win. The AFC players each got $25,000 in the loss.

Washington was credited with a single special teams tackle. Peterson was all over the field, gaining seven yards on a reverse handoff on a punt return and even playing a few snaps late in the game as a wide receiver (although the NFC ran on each of those plays.)

Peterson also had a pair of pass breakups – one on a throw to the Colts' Reggie Wayne that Peterson nearly intercepted, and a second on a deep pass to Denver's Demaryius Thomas that Peterson knocked back to teammate William Moore of the Falcons for an interception.
