Cornerback Joel Wilkinson takes part in a drill earlier this week.
Joel Wilkinson's stint on the Cardinals' roster was short-lived.
The former Australian Rules Football player, signed earlier this offseason as he tried to give American football a try at cornerback, was released Wednesday as the Cards try to get down to 90 players ahead of this weekend's rookie minicamp.
Besides Wilkinson, the Cardinals cut cornerback Kevin White, cornerback Tyrequek Zimmerman and center Valeran Ume-Ezeoke.
Including the incoming undrafted rookie class, the Cardinals still have 91 names, with one cut still to come (until the undrafted rookies sign their contracts, they do not officially count against the roster total.)
The rookies, both drafted and undrafted, arrive Thursday to take physicals and get equipment. Minicamp runs Friday through Sunday, and then the rookies will join the veterans starting next week for the balance of the offseason work.
