Jordan Phillips Ready, But Chris Banjo Inactive Against Jets

Tight end Darrell Daniels also active for Cardinals

The Cardinals do have Budda Baker back today against the Jets, but fellow safety Chris Banjo will be sitting a second straight game because if a bad hamstring.

It makes sense after the Cards elevated veteran safety Curtis Riley from the practice squad Saturday. They also elevated tight end Evan Baylis, who will be active while fellow tight end Jordan Thomas -- who caught a touchdown pass last week -- is not active.

Two other players questionable for the Cardinals are playing. Tight end Darrell Daniels (thigh) and defensive lineman Jordan Phillips (illness) are up. Phillips, in fact, tweeted earlier Sunday a simple hashtag: #flugame. Linebacker Devon Kennard (calf) had already been ruled out.

The Cardinals are looking to end a two-game losing streak. The Jets are trying to avoid only their third 0-5 start in team history, the last being in 1996.

The full inactive list for the Cardinals:

  • QB Brett Hundley
  • RB Eno Benjamin
  • S Chris Banjo (hamstring)
  • LB Devon Kennard (calf)
  • OL Joshua Miles
  • OL Josh Jones
  • TE Jordan Thomas

For the Jets, quarterback Sam Darnold had already been ruled out, but the Jets are also without starting left tackle Mekhi Becton and wide receiver Breshad Perriman.
