With the Cardinals enjoying alengthy postseason run, it also means the offseason -- and key components like free agency -- creep closer, with the Cards having less true down time to prepare for it. As everyone knows, this offseason will be crucial for the team, with free agency coming for guys like Kurt Warner and Karlos Dansby and contract extension possibilities/issues with guys like Anquan Boldin, Adrian Wilson and perhaps Darnell Dockett.
General manager Rod Graves, however, said that isn't a concern because the Cards have personnel men Steve Keim and Jason Licht working hard on looking at such issues, and Graves and the front office have held meetings to map out offseason plans.
"In terms of our players and signing our players and the big offseason challenges we have, we'll be prepared for that," Graves said. "We talked about that long before this period. Once the season is over, we will get underway and see what we can do to keep our team on track."
