Trey McBride made clear he probably shouldn't be hurdling as much as he does in games.
McBride tried to go up and over 49ers defensive back Ji'Ayir Brown on Sunday. Brown didn't go low, yet somehow McBride still completed the "hurdle."
"When I landed back on my feet I was shocked and excited," McBride said Monday. "I think (defenders) are catching on and the risk versus reward is not always there." (We probably shouldn't talk about the coincidence the Cardinals were 4-0 in McBride's hurdle games.)
Risk aside, it makes for fascinating visuals. It also isn't a surprise it caught the attention of "Good Morning Football" host Kyle Brandt, who previously had nominated a McBride hurdle for one of his weekly "Angry Runs" awards. That one didn't win. In Week 18, McBride did take the honor and the scepter that goes with it.
"Give me Trey McBride doing nasty things like he's has done all year long!" Brandt yelled.
"You were born to wield this scepter," Brandt added, just at a slightly lower volume.
