Hey Cardinals fans, I cannot believe we are already nearing the end of this amazing journey and I am so happy I'm able to share this with you. Today was an extremely emotional day for all of the cheerleaders. After an early team breakfast we were off to the stadium for Ohana Day. Ohana means "family" in Hawaiian, so this is a chance for families and fans to join everyone involved with the Pro Bowl for some free entertainment. The players ran a few plays and some interviews, the cheerleaders performed throughout the event and there we lots of giveaways. We all had so much fun, I was really excited to see how well my line danced together. We felt like a true team more than ever!
After the event we had a break for lunch where we did some fun team building exercises and relaxed before it was time for our field rehearsal. Field rehearsal went really well, the Goo Goo Dolls are a big part of our pre-game performance and we had the opportunity to run the dance we prepared with them singing live. Among them we the flag runners, professional dancers, high school cheerleaders and little Hawaiian dancers. We all took in this moment, I don't think there was one dry face in our group. This has been a very emotional week for everyone and I believe that moment, when the music started, made everything real and it hit us hard. I feel so blessed to be here in Hawaii representing my team and it that moment that is who I was thinking about.
It was now time for the last event of the day, the Waikiki Block Party. This event was so much fun! There was people everywhere, so many that you couldn't see anything but a sea of people. We split up into our lines and made our way to 1 of 6 stages for a short interview and to perform 2 of our pro bowl routines. We headed to another stage to do the sane before heading to The VIP NFL Party. This is an event held for all of the Pro Bowls sponsors. We had an amazing time. I'm looking forward to the game tomorrow but I cannot believe this experience is quickly coming to an end.
Love, Taryn
