Anquan Boldin didn't talk to the media in the locker room today but did an appearance on ESPN's "NFL Live," with the quotes making it to an ESPN.com story. Boldin addressed his spat with OC Todd Haley:
"I was not given any explanation why I was taken out," Boldin said when asked what led to the sideline confrontation. "Like any competitor I wanted to know why."
Asked if he had any issues with Haley, Boldin said, "Not a problem at all. I'm committed to this team ... one goal in mind ... to win the Super Bowl. That's why I came back early from the facial injury. You don't get this opportunity all the time."
Boldin, who has been suffering from a hamstring strain, said he was toldĀ "I was not in position to run like they wanted me to. I felt fine the entire game."
As for leaving early, Boldin said he knew there would be questions about his and Haley's argument and he didn't want it to become a storyline.
