Not a whole lot going on, other than the impending royal wedding. I'm trying to get a little down time, and we're still a couple weeks out from organized team activities. But it is the NFL, so even here in the dead of May, there are always things going on.
-- From the department of you-usually-only-notice-things-from-your-team-after-a-game, I never realized Eagles' Asante Samuel and Correll Buckhalter left such a negative impression with fans after the NFC Championship (I guess I was too busy watching the smiles emerge and the confetti fall after the Cardinals won). I guess it's kind of like the Eagles' mirror image of Anquan Boldin after that game, when Q had everything to be happy about and clearly wasn't.
-- Edge in New Orleans? Wouldn't be a surprise, after Deuce McAllister's time ended in the Big Easy.
-- Ahh, Brett Favre. Gosh, it seems like we never talk about this guy. OK, so maybe he comes back to play for the Vikings – meaning the Cardinals will get another shot at him. The last time they saw him it wasn't pretty, when he shredded the defense for six touchdown passes. He probably would be helped with Adrian Peterson in backfield (Heck, the inconsistent and inexperienced Tarvaris Jackson tossed four touchdown passes against the Cards). If Favre does come back, we get another round of the Favre-and-Warner-are-old-but-successful stories, one year later.
