Day Two – The tour of Camp Arifjan and KNB!
It's Wednesday and it only feels like we just arrived here in Kuwait, losing a day really messes with your sense of time. With food in our bellies from breakfast, we headed over to their "Captions Call" to meet with the Lieutenant – Colonel Krumpton. He is in charge of all Operations for Camp Arifjan. He entertained us very much so with jokes and short stories of his four daughters and at the same time educated us about the U.S. presence in Kuwait and our partnership we have with them. What I thought was most captivating, was understanding how efficient our U.S military is providing resources and securing the borders of Iraq and Kuwait and even the Gulf. I like to give a shot out to the Colonel for taking the providing us with certificates and "challenge coins" – Thank you!
After our afternoon meet and greet with 300 soldiers, we took a 20 minute ride to KNB, which stands for Kuwait Naval Base. With a wonderful boat ride, which was fast and fun, we entertained the Navy and US Coast Guards with an evening performance and signing. Lots of pictures and smiles… this has been a great start to our trip and looking forward to the rest of the journey!
