After completing his first practice in the NFL, Tip Reiman headed upstairs to sign his initial four-year contract on Friday.
The tight end now became the fifth rookie to make it official with the Cardinals after a handful of Day Three draftees signed on Thursday.
Whether it's his not-so-secret hobby of pottery, embracing the mauler identity, or his love for the arts, Reiman is a character. He is also planning on being a big time presence on the football field for the Cardinals. The 6-foot-4 third-round selection is the sole tight end on the rookie minicamp roster.
"I'm just going to put my head down and work and lay a full brick every day," Reiman said. "No half efforts. No cutting corners. No nothing. It's just (about) gaining the trust of the team, the organization, and prove them right having drafted me."
After the call came in from the Cardinals on the second day of the draft, Reiman's new teammate Trey McBride sent him a congratulatory text message. They'll look to compliment one another on the field.
"I'm excited to meet in person and start working together," Reiman said.
