The Cards "Coach-of-the-Week" award presented by Wells Fargo is selected by a local sports panel consisting of Cardinals Senior Director of Community Relations Luis Zendejas, AZ Preps365 Play by Play Michael Carotenuto, NBC-12 sports anchor Bruce Cooper, NBC-12 Sports Reporter Tresa Tudrick, AIA Game of the Week Color Commentary/Former HS Football Coach Kelly Epley, and Arizona Republic/azcentral.com writer Richard Obert, and Arizona Cardinals Defensive Lineman #98 Corey Peters.
The Cardinals' 24-year "Coach-of-the-Week" program presents a selected high school coach with a certificate signed by NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, Cardinals President Michael Bidwill and Head Coach Steve Wilks, Cardinals Cheerleaders, Arizona Cardinals Alumni and team mascot Big Red will present the school with $2,000 to support its football program on behalf of Cardinals Charities.
