It was a windy day out at practice this morning – which is why coach Ken Whisenhunt had to hold for Neil Rackers on some kickoffs (as in the picture below) – and a rough day for the quarterbacks, who never like to have the elements mess with their passes. One bomb by Brian St. Pierre was almost comical in the way it just died in the win as it flew through the air.
One practice left today before tomorrow's Red and White practice, which will feature a live goal line situation at the end and also have some "competitive drives", Whisenhunt said, which won't have tackling but will have down and distance.
Finally, while Beanie Wells was running a bit today, Whisenhunt remained on the fence whether Wells would make it back to practice next week, and given that there are only three practices after Saturday before the Steelers' game, it's very likely Wells won't be suiting up in Pittsburgh.
