Jason Benguche is in his ninth season in the NFL and second with the Cardinals as an assistant strength and conditioning coach after joining the team in 2023.
He spent seven years (2013-19) as an assistant strength and conditioning coach with the Carolina Panthers where he was part of the team that won the NFC Championship following the 2015 season and advanced to Super Bowl 50. Benguche went to Carolina following five years at Georgia Tech where he was assistant director of player development for the football team (2010-12) after spending his first two years (2008-09) as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for football and men's tennis in addition to swimming and diving.
Benguche came to Arizona in 2023 after working as the director of performance at Jet Performance Labs in Mooresville, NC for three years (2020-22). He started his coaching career in 2005 as a student assistant with the football team at the University of Massachusetts and followed that up with an internship at IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL in 2006. Benguche then worked with the football team at Florida State as a graduate assistant for two years (2006-07) while completing his master's degree in Health Education (2008).
He played on the offensive line at Springfield College (2002-05) and earned Division II/III All-New England honors from the New England Football Writers Division as a senior. Benguche graduated from Springfield with a bachelor's degree in Applied Exercise Science in 2006. He is certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association, the National Academy of Sports Medicine and the International Society of Sports Nutrition.
