Ronald Booker is in his fifth season with the Cardinals and third as a defensive quality control coach after working two years (2021-22) as a defensive assistant. He spent two years with Arizona as a Bill Walsh Coaching Fellow (2020-21) prior to being hired full-time in August, 2021.
In the 2025 offseason, Booker was selected to serve as the safeties coach for the West team at the Shrine Bowl.
He joined the Cardinals after spending two seasons as an offensive graduate assistant at the University of Pittsburgh where he worked with the team's wide receivers. During his time with the Panthers, Booker helped tutor freshman All-American and future first-round pick WR Jordan Addison as well as All-ACC performer WR Maurice Ffrench. In 2019, Ffrench had 96 catches, eclipsing Pitt's single-season receptions record previously held by Larry Fitzgerald (92 catches in 13 games in 2003).
Prior to his tenure at Pitt, Booker spent five seasons (2014-18) at his alma mater, Rhodes College, where he served as a safeties coach, defensive backs coach, wide receivers coach, special teams coordinator and strength and conditioning director. He also led the football program's social media and video initiatives. Under Booker's tutelage, WR Josh Lucas established single-season program records for receptions (76) and receiving yards (1,199) in 2017.
A standout defensive back and special teams ace, Booker was a key member of the Lynx's 2013 Southern Athletic Association (SAA) championship team. He was also part of the 2009 TSSAA Class 6A state championship football team at White Station (Memphis, TN) High School.
Booker earned his bachelor's degree in Commerce and Business from Rhodes in 2014.
