Winston DeLattiboudere III (DEE-lat-TEE-bo-DARE) joined the Cardinals as defensive line coach on 2/12/25 after spending the past two seasons (2023-24) coaching at his alma mater, the University of Minnesota.
He has previous experience working in the NFL as a two-time participant of the Bill Walsh Diversity Coaching Fellowship during training camps with the Green Bay Packers (2023) and Jacksonville Jaguars (2022).
DeLattiboudere joined Minnesota's coaching staff in 2023 as the team's defensive line coach and added the title of assistant head coach in 2024. Last year, he helped the Golden Gophers finish 5th nationally in total defense (285.7 ypg), 9th in scoring defense (16.9 ppg) and 12th in rushing defense (109.6 ypg).
Minnesota increased their sack total from 19 in 2022 before he arrived to 26 in 2023 and 28 in 2024. The Golden Gophers defensive line had 20 sacks in 2023 and 17.5 sacks in 2024 after only having 10.5 sacks the year prior to his arrival. DeLattiboudere was college teammates with Cardinals defensive coordinator Nick Rallis while the pair played together at Minnesota (2015-16).
DE Jah Joyner finished his Golden Gophers career with 10.5 sacks, the 10th most in school history and was a two-time All-Big Ten selection. In 2024, he was second on the team in sacks (4.5), tied for the lead in QB hurries (9) and led the team in forced fumbles (2). In 2023, Joyner had a team-leading 7.5 sacks while DE Danny Striggow had 6.0 sacks and 51 tackles en route to being named all-conference. Minnesota's defensive line forced six fumbles, had three fumble recoveries and had seven passes defensed with one interception in 2023.
In 2024, DeLattiboudere was selected to the American Football Coaches Association's 35 Under 35 Coaches Leadership Institute which is aimed at identifying and developing premier, future leaders in the football coaching profession. In his first season with Minnesota, he also held the title of newcomer coordinator and assisted in the transition for freshman and transfers entering the program.
DeLattiboudere returned to coach at his alma mater after one season (2022) as the defensive line coach at Akron. While at Akron, he tutored DL Victor Jones, who led the Zips in sacks (5.5) and tackles for loss (11.5). Akron improved their run defense by nearly 85 yards from the previous season and improved their sack total and tackles for loss total as well.
Prior to Akron, DeLattiboudere spent the 2021 season as a graduate assistant at Oregon where he assisted with the Ducks defensive line. During that season, he helped coach future first-round pick DE Kayvon Thibodeaux as he was a unanimous first-team All-American and a finalist for the Bronko Nagurski Trophy and Chuck Bednarik Award after having 7.0 sacks. He also coached DT Popo Aumavae and DE Brandon Dorius who were both first-team All-Pac 12 selections.
DeLattiboudere began his coaching career in 2020 as a gradate assistant working with the defensive line at Charlotte. At Charlotte, he worked with three defensive linemen --- DE Romeo McKnight, DE Tyriq Harris & DT Timmy Horne --- who all earned All-Conference USA honors.
He played five seasons (2015-19) as a defensive lineman at Minnesota and appeared in 51 games (36 starts), finishing his career with 83 tackles (43 solo), 13.5 tackles for loss and 5.0 sacks. DeLattiboudere earned academic All-Big Ten honors as a senior in 2019 while also earning the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award and the team's Tony Dungy Award for character and community service that same year. As a true freshman, he won the Golden Gophers Defensive Scout Team Award.
DeLattiboudere is married to his wife, Shelby.
