Chad Jenkins enters his seventh season with the Cardinals scouting department and first as an area scout after getting promoted in May, 2024. He spent the past three years (2021-23) as the team's representative with the National Football Scouting service. Jenkins originally joined the Cardinals in June, 2018 as a scouting assistant and spent three years (2018-20) in that role.
Prior to joining the Cardinals, Jenkins worked one season (2017) with Tennessee State as a quality control/tight ends coach. He earned a bachelor's degree in Business Management from Alabama State University, a master's degree in Sports and Fitness Management from Troy University and a master's degree in Liberal Arts from Tulane University.
Jenkins remained at Alabama State following graduation to serve as an offensive quality control coach for the Hornets (2009-11) and also spent training camp in 2010 with the Jacksonville Jaguars as an operations intern. For the next five years, Jenkins held various titles at Tulane including defensive/special teams quality control (2011), offensive graduate assistant/running backs and tight ends coach (2012), defensive line and linebackers coach/special teams graduate assistant (2012-15) and assistant director of player personnel (2015).
He also served as an assistant football coach and taught history at his alma mater, St. Augustine High School in New Orleans, LA.
