Agua Fria H.S. RB Keith Huckaby Named High School Player-of-the-Week

Agua Fria High School running back Keith Huckaby has been named this week's Arizona Cardinals and Wells Fargo "High School Player-of-the-Week."

Huckaby ran the ball 23 times for 177 yards and a touchdown while also completing a 20-yard touchdown pass in the Owls 32-19 victory over Kellis High School last Friday night. He also added two kickoff returns for 68 yards, a punt return for 16 yards and a tackle on defense in the win.  

The seventh-year Arizona Cardinals Football Club "Player-of-the-Week" award, presented by Wells Fargo, is selected by a local sports panel consisting of Cardinals Director of Community Relations Luis Zendejas, Community Relations Coordinator Sheldon Meeks, NBC-12 sports reporter Bruce Cooper, 16-year Arizona high school football official Bob Ferreira, AIA Director of Media Marketing Brian Bolitho, former Arizona high school coach Emil Nasser, 1060 AM radio host Dan Manucci, and Wells Fargo representative Jeff Smith.

A football plaque acknowledging the award will be presented to Huckaby by a Cardinals alumnus at a ceremony at Agua Fria High School on Friday, October 23 at 2:00 p.m. during the school's pep assembly as part of homecoming week festivities (530 E. Riley Drive, Avondale). The Owls host Dysart High School on Friday night at 7 p.m.
