The Cardinals are staying young in the cornerback room again this week.
Veteran Sean Murphy-Bunting, who has been dealing with a neck issue and missed the game in Miami, had practiced full all week and was not given an injury designation on Friday. But the Cardinals downgraded the defensive back to questionable on Sunday morning, and he was declared inactive by the team for the game.
The Cards are also missing defensive lineman Naquan Jones, who had been questionable with a thigh injury. He is inactive. Ben Stille was elevated from the practice squad to fill Jones' spot.
The full Cardinals inactives list:
- CB Sean Murphy-Bunting (neck)
- DL Darius Robinson (calf)
- OL Christian Jones
- TE Travis Vokolek
- WR Xavier Weaver
- DL Naquan Jones (thigh)
The Bears are without top pass rusher Montez Sweat (shin), a significant development in favor of the Cardinals.
The Bears won't be starting cornerback Tyrique Stevenson, who was the player who was out of position on last week's Hail Mary touchdown by the Commanders after Stevenson was taunting the Washington crowd. Stevenson will play, however.
