Chandler Jones has made the Pro Bowl, was named All-Pro and has a chance to be named the NFL's Defensive Player of the Year.

Tuesday, he earned another honor, taking home NFC Defensive Player of the year from the NFL Committee of 101 after his 19-sack season.

The awards (this year's version are the 50th annual) are selected by 101 national media members who cover the NFL. Patriots cornerback Stephon Gilmore -- who, like Jones, is a candidate for the NFL DPOY that will be named at the NFL Honors show on Super Bowl eve -- was selected as the AFC's best defensive player.

Earlier this week, Jones was also named one of the outside linebackers on the all-NFL team this season by the Pro Football Writers of America, along with Steelers outside linebacker T.J. Watt.

Jones set the franchise record with 19 sacks, along with a career-high eight forced fumbles. He had two games of four sacks, was twice named NFC Defensive Player of the Week and was named the NFC's Defensive Player of the Month for December.
