As coach Kliff Kingsbury hinted at Wednesday night, the Cardinals moved safety Deionte Thompson off the COVID reserve list Thursday morning, allowing him back at practice and helping out the depth in the secondary.
Only wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald remains on the COVID list. His availability remains in doubt for the Rams game; if he indeed tested positive as reports said last Wednesday, he has just been on the list for a little more than a week and 10 days would be the minimum he was out unless he were to have two straight negative tests.
"I'm not sure on Fitz just yet," coach Kliff Kingsbury said Wednesday evening. "He's still working through those protocols."
The Cards brought wide receiver Trent Sherfield off the COVID list Wednesday.
The NFL has clamped down on teams heading into December with increased protocols, including shrinking the number of staff allowed in the vicinity of players at both the practice facility and traveling, in an extra effort to protect players from the coronavirus.
