FRIDAY REPORT
Jonathan Gannon kept his response brief when discussing Kelvin Beachum's hamstring injury, saying the right tackle is "doing OK" and "we'll see" regarding his availability on Sunday. On the injury report, after Beachum did not practice, the veteran is listed as questionable for Sunday's game.
With tackle Jonah Williams and rookie Christian Jones both on injured reserve, Jackson Barton, who was elevated from the practice squad last weekend, could be a candidate for action. The Cardinals also have veteran Charlie Heck, who has started 21 NFL games, on the practice squad as well.
A late addition to the injury report was wide receiver Greg Dortch. He appeared on the list with a hamstring injury that has him listed as questionable for Sunday. Defensive lineman Dante Stills is also questionable. He was a limited participant at practice all week.
Offensive lineman Will Hernandez (ankle) and Xavier Weaver (oblique) are good to go for this weekend.
Detroit's cornerback situation has been one to watch throughout the week. Terrion Arnold, who missed practice all week with an illness, returned on Friday. Dan Campbell said the rookie is trending in the right way. Safety Ifeatu Melifonwu (ankle) and cornerback Ennis Rakestraw (hamstring) are out for this weekend's game.
THURSDAY REPORT
Once Jonah Williams went down with a knee injury, landing him on injured reserve, Kelvin Beachum assumed the role as the Cardinals starting right tackle. Ahead of the matchup against the Lions, Beachum landed on the injury report as a limited participant with a hamstring injury. It's a player worth noting since he and the offensive line will have their hands full with Aidan Hutchinson coming to town.
Rookie outside linebacker Xavier Thomas was not on the field, dealing with a personal issue. While it's only been two regular-season games, Thomas has earned some run, playing 21 defensive snaps against the Rams.
Defensive lineman Dante Stills was the only player on Wednesday's report to be listed as limited with a shoulder injury. He continued as a limited participant on Thursday. Offensive lineman Will Hernandez (ankle) and wide receiver Xavier Weaver (oblique) remain as full participants for the second consecutive practice.
Linebacker Alex Anzalone (concussion), one of their defensive leaders, returned to practice on Thursday. He and offensive lineman Graham Glasgow (knee) were limited. Cornerbacks Terrion Arnold (illness) and Ennis Rakestraw (hamstring) did not practice.
WEDNESDAY REPORT
Earlier in the week, Jonathan Gannon kicked off his press conference sharing that outside of a couple "bumps and bruises," the Cardinals are healthy going into Week 3 against the Lions. Once again, no players from the Cardinals 53-man roster missed practice on Wednesday.
However, three players landed on the report. Defensive lineman Dante Stills was limited with a shoulder injury. Offensive lineman Will Hernandez (ankle) and wide receiver Xavier Weaver, who was on the report last week as a limited participant with an oblique injury, were full participants. Stills did not play Sunday, so it's likely his injury happened in Wednesday's work.
Detroit, on the other hand, had five players miss practice on Wednesday, including linebacker Alex Anzalone with a concussion and rookie Terrion Arnold with an illness.
