Patrick Peterson came back to Arizona to retire as a Cardinal, and already he has a task on behalf of the organization.
The eight-time Pro Bowl cornerback will be at the NFL draft next week to announce the Cardinals' second day picks, which are No. 47 and No. 78 overall.
The league has worked to use team legends to announce second-rounders over the past decade. Among those Cardinals who have previously done so: Aeneas Williams, Adrian Wilson, Leonard Davis, Larry Centers and Karlos Dansby. Peterson gets the gig a few days after officially ending his playing career.
Peterson was named to the NFL's all-decade 2010s team, spanning 2010-2019.
The Cardinals have six draft picks as of now. The chance for a trade -- and additional picks, or a change to the spot in the second round -- is always possible with GM Monti Ossenfort.
