No Fly (End) Zone

The only thing tougher than air travel around the Thanksgiving holiday? Landing a pass in the Cardinals end zone the past month. Not to name drop, but we're talking not a single TD pass allowed against the likes of Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, D.J. Moore, Keenan Allen, Rome Odunze, Davante Adams and Garrett Wilson. Now comes another elite WR room featuring DK Metcalf, Tyler Lockett and emerging star Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who has already schooled the 49ers (10-110) and Rams (7-180-2) this season. Simply put, can the young Arizona secondary make this weekend one of the worst times to fly for Seattle's No. 2-ranked passing offense?

Never Over 'Til It's Over

The Cardinals have embraced the Cardiac Cards persona, orchestrating three game-winning drives in the month of October. Their opponents this weekend, Geno Smith and the Seahawks, have had their fair share at the same. Smith sealed the game for Seattle last weekend, scrambling for a go-ahead touchdown with 12 seconds left in the game. It was his seventh game-winning drive over the last two seasons, which is tied for the most in the league. Having been on the winning side of these electrifying wins, the Cardinals defense must emphasize playing a full 60-minute game, because as Kyler Murray and Smith have both proven, it's not over until the clock strikes zero.

Rest, Not Rust

The Cardinals' four-game win streak was halted by the bye week; however, the timing doesn't have to be negative. Rest always comes at a good time for players, it's what the team does afterwards that can make it advantageous. A bonus practice Monday got the competitive juices flowing and the head coach has made sure the team's processes haven't changed while locking in for Seattle. The numbers don't do this organization any favors when looking at its recent post-bye record, however, this is a team that has shown its resiliency and mental toughness more than once this season. The NFC West race is a tight one and these divisional games hold heavy playoff implications, with small margin for error. The Cardinals need to show up to what is always a loud and hostile Lumen Field alert and ready to fight.
