  • Selected #1 overall by the Cardinals in the 2019 NFL Draft, earned NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year honors (2019), was twice named to the Pro Bowl (2020-21) and was named team captain each of the last four seasons (2020-23).
  • In July of 2022, signed a contract extension that will keep him with the Cardinals through the end of the 2028 season.
  • Started all 65 games played in his first five seasons (2019-23), completing 1,492-of-2,239 pass attempts (66.6%) for 15,647 yards and 94 TDs while rushing for 2,448 yards and 26 TDs on 425 carries (5.8 avg.).
  • One of just four players in NFL history (Josh Allen, Russell Wilson, and Cam Newton) with 15,000+ passing yards and 2,000+ rushing yards in his first five seasons.   • In nine games without Murray in 2023, AZ had the 26th ranked offense (289.7 ypg) and averaged just 16.8 points/game. With Murray in the lineup, AZ had the 9th ranked offense (362.8 ypg) and averaged 22.4 points/game.
  • Led Arizona to a comeback win in Week 17 of the 2023 season at Philadelphia. Down 21-6 at halftime, Murray guided the offense to four TDs, 270 total yards (137 rushing; 133 passing) and 19 first downs on its four second-half drives. He completed 13-of-14 pass attempts (92.9%) to six different players in the second half for 133 yards, three TDs and a 145.8 passer rating in the win over the then 11-4 Eagles.
  • Led Arizona to a historic comeback in Week 2 of the 2022 season at Las Vegas, engineering the fifth-largest comeback win in team history (trailed 20-0 at halftime). During the second half and overtime, completed 25-of-40 pass attempts for 224 yards and a TD, while also rushing for 28 yards and a TD on five carries. He also became the first player in NFL history to have a passing TD, rushing TD, two-point conversion pass and two-point conversion run in the same game.
  • A first-team All-American as a junior in 2018 at Oklahoma, won the Heisman Trophy, was named the Associated Press Player of the Year and earned Davey O'Brien Quarterback of the Year, Manning Award and Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award honors.
  • From 2012-15, Murray won three consecutive 5A Texas state championships with Allen High School and capped off his prep career with 2014-15 Gatorade National Football Athlete of the Year honors his senior season.
  • Posted a 57-3 record in 60 starts at QB in high school and college, including a perfect 43-0 record at national powerhouse Allen (TX) High School.
  • Only person ever to be selected in the first round of both the NFL and MLB drafts.
