Cardinals Bring Back Evan Brown, Kelvin Beachum

Offensive line returns key pieces before free agency

The Cardinals have agreed to new contracts with offensive linemen Evan Brown (62) and Kelvin Beachum.
The Cardinals have agreed to new contracts with offensive linemen Evan Brown (62) and Kelvin Beachum.

The Cardinals had their starting guards both heading toward free agency, but halved that issue on Monday when they agreed to a two-year contract with left guard Evan Brown.

They also brought back veteran swing tackle Kelvin Beachum, who played most of the season as the starting right tackle because of two knee injuries to starter Jonah Williams. Beachum, who started 10 games, agreed to a one-year deal.

Brown started all 17 games for the Cardinals in 2024. His contract is reportedly worth a maximum of $11.5 million.

Brown was signed to a one-year free-agent deal last offseason and proved to be a solid addition to a line that played well all season. Brown was in for 1,070 offensive snaps, or 98 percent of the Cardinals' snaps.

The Cardinals still need to figure out what they want to do on the right side; starter Will Hernandez, also heading into free agency, had his season end early with an ACL tear. Also hitting free agency is backup guard Trystan Colon.

Teams officially were allowed to start talking to free agents from other teams at 9 a.m. Monday morning; players cannot sign with teams other than their own until Wednesday at 1 p.m. Arizona time.
