While the offensive line remains a real possibility for which the Cardinals to spend their first-round pick on in April's draft, Monti Ossenfort has made sure to add some depth to the position during free agency.
Veteran Jake Curhan, whose arrival was reported soon after the opening of the free agent period, officially signed his one-year contract on Thursday. He joins Royce Newman, signed a couple of weeks ago, and the re-signing of veteran tackle Kelvin Beachum as help with the unit.
The Cardinals also re-signed starting left guard Evan Brown. At right guard, the Cardinals -- for now -- figure to look at Isaiah Adams and Newman as possibilities as starter. Jon Gaines also remains a candidate as he returns to full health after a 2023 knee injury.
"I'm excited for that (guard) room," coach Jonathan Gannon said at the NFL owners meetings. "I like that we have guys that can play both sides."
Curhan has made 11 starts in his 39 career games over four seasons, playing for the Bears last season after three years with the Seahawks. In 2024, he played 239 of his 260 offensive snaps at left guard, but he also has significant right tackle snaps in his career and has also played some right guard.
