The NFL released the league's compensatory picks on Tuesday, the extra choices doled out for teams losing free agents (or minority coaches and front-office staff).
That also meant the league officially set the draft order for April's selection weekend.
The Cardinals did not have any comp picks, given that they signed more free agents than they lost in 2024. It means they will have six draft picks -- barring draft day wheeling and dealing from GM Monti Ossenfort.
After going into his first two drafts with the No. 3 and then the No. 4 overall picks, the Cardinals are picking 16, with their in-round slot rotating among the other teams that finished 8-9: the Dolphins, Colts and Falcons.
The Cardinals traded their original sixth-round pick to Denver for linebacker Baron Browning, and included their original seventh-round pick in a trade to Carolina for wide receiver Robbie Anderson. They got a seventh back from the Chiefs in the trade for linebacker Cam Thomas.
The Cardinals' selections, along with their overall spot in the 257-pick draft:
- First round (16)
- Second round (47)
- Third round (78)
- Fourth round (115)
- Fifth round (152)
- Seventh round (225, from Jets through Chiefs)
