The fans are the biggest reason the NFL is what it is. We all know it. You need to ultra-talented athletes and the infrastructure to let them show their skills, but without so many eyeballs watching, it wouldn't matter.
So as the league plans out the draft in April -- this year, it'll be held in Green Bay at Lambeau Field -- the NFL is looking for stories about being a fan. If you go here, you can give a short writeup about what being a fan of your favorite team means to you. The NFL is seeking "heartfelt letters," describing the "moments of joy, the moments of unity, the moments of commitment."
Some of the best letters will be featured, in giant print, around the draft area at Lambeau. The deadline is Feb. 4, so give it some thought and send in your stories. Not everyone is going to be named Fan of the Year. But that's OK. Every fan has a story.
