The preseason game against the Colts will be a night event, with kickoff coming at 7 p.m. local time in Indianapolis.
It makes sense then that the joint practices between the Cardinals and Colts before the game will be in the evening as well.
Coach Jonathan Gannon said Monday the team will fly out to Indiana on Tuesday, Aug. 13, and practice against the Colts on Wednesday and Thursday that week at 6 p.m. both days. It will also hedge against the potential high humidity of that time of year (although the average high temps there in August is 83 degrees.) Practices are expected to be open to the public.
The Cardinals will work on their own on Friday, with the game on Saturday, Aug. 17.
It is the third year in a row the Cardinals will hold joint practices in the preseason. Last year, they were in Minnesota; in 2022 they practice in Nashville against the Titans.
