The Cardinals have another assistant coach spot to fill.
Multiple reports came Friday afternoon that offensive line coach Klayton Adams had been named the new offensive coordinator of the Dallas Cowboys and new head coach Brian Schottenheimer. Schottenheimer, who had been promoted from Cowboys OC, will still call the plays for the Cowboys but reportedly wanted an OC with a strong run game background.
Adams, who directed the line in Arizona has the Cardinals build a top running game the past two seasons, is that choice.
The Cardinals already needed to replace linebackers coach Sam Siefkes, who left to become the defensive coordinator at Virginia Tech. They have also reportedly moved on from defensive line coach Derrick LeBlanc, although there has been no official announcement.
The Cardinals did not have any coaching changes on their staff after Jonathan Gannon's first season.
