Kyler Murray might have gotten a little bit of practice, but it wasn't enough to get him back on the field for a game.
The Cardinals quarterback will be inactive for a second straight game against the Panthers Sunday with his bad ankle, as will wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins, who misses his second straight game (after only missing two games in his career prior to this) with his injured hamstring.
It means Colt McCoy gets his second straight start at quarterback. Hopkins' absence will be helped some with the return of wide receiver A.J. Green, who will play after missing last week because of Covid. Safety Budda Baker and wide receiver Rondale Moore both are active.
The full inactives list:
- QB Kyler Murray (ankle)
- WR DeAndre Hopkins (hamstring)
- WR Andy Isabella
- RB Jonathan Ward (concussion)
- S James Wiggins (knee)
- G Justin Pugh (calf)
- OL Max Garcia (Achilles)
