SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- The Cardinals, despite Trey McBride's late add to the injury report with a ribs issue, will have their starting tight end against the 49ers on Sunday.
They will not have their kicker, however. Matt Prater is inactive with his knee soreness, meaning Chad Ryland -- signed this week to the practice squad -- will handling kicking duties. Ryland was a rookie in 2023, making 16 of 25 field goals for the Patriots before they let him go after the season.
Rookie linebacker Xavier Thomas, who has seen his snaps dwindle each week, is inactive for the first time, his spot taken by Jesse Luketa.
