Wisconsin defensive end Alec James is among the 24 players the Cardinals added as undrafted rookies.
Steve Wilks believes in developing players, and the new coach will have a chance this offseason with the way the Cardinals approached their undrafted rookie free agent class.
After selecting six players in the weekend's draft, the Cardinals agreed to terms with a hefty 24 rookie free agent class Monday.
The haul will eventually mean the Cardinals must trim from their roster. Including the draft class, the Cards will have 99 total players for their roster, although until the undrafted players sign contracts, they do not count against the offseason 90-man limit. Those rookies must also still pass physicals before getting their contracts.
The Cardinals hold their rookie minicamp the weekend of May 11-13.
