The Cardinals spent just one of their seven draft picks on an offensive lineman when they took guard Hayden Conner in the sixth round.
But GM Monti Ossenfort knew more were coming.
"I think there's guys in there that have versatility to play multiple spots," Ossenfort said after the draft ended. "I think that's going to be a good competition. We'll add Hayden (Conner) in there. We signed a couple offensive linemen that you guys will hear about here in a little bit on undrafted free agency. So, there's going to be good competition in that group all along the offensive line. We're excited to see how that sorts out."
The Cardinals agreed to terms with six undrafted rookies this year; three are offensive linemen. With the hiring of new offensive line coach Justin Frye from Ohio State, it was not a surprise one of the additions is an Ohio State product: tackle Josh Fryar.
The other two are Florida State's Jeremiah Byers and UConn's Valentin Senn.
The full undrafted list for 2025:
- OL Jeremiah Byers, Florida State (6-4, 314)
- TE Oscar Cardenas, Texas-San Antonio (6-4, 275)
- OL Josh Fryar, Ohio State (6-5, 318)
- WR Bryson Green, Wisconsin (6-2, 215)
- OL Valentin Senn, Connecticut (6-7, 305)
- DL Elijah Simmons, Tennessee (6-1, 334)
Green is the lone wide receiver addition. He had 97 catches over 42 games in his career at both Oklahoma State and Wisconsin, although he had only 17 receptions for 219 yards and two touchdowns in eight games for the Badgers in 2024.
All six must pass physicals next week before rookie minicamp prior to signing. If all sign, the Cardinals will need to release at least one player to get back to the maximum roster of 91 (one extra with an international exemption).
