Jonathan Gannon has said since he arrived that the practice squad is an extension of the 53-man roster.
For the Cardinals, beat up all season on the defensive line, that has been crucial.
For a third straight week, Ben Stille has been elevated from the practice squad for Sunday's game against the Bears, with both Roy Lopez (ankle) and Naquan Jones (thigh) questionable to play.
The Cardinals have both Justin Jones and Bilal Nichols on season-ending Injured Reserve. In addition to the issues with Lopez and Jones -- who were limited in practice all week -- rookie Darius Robinson has yet to practice since his window was opened, although he was put on the active roster this week.
This is the final time Stille can be elevated from the practice squad to play this season. Going forward, the Cardinals would have to put him on the 53-man roster to have him available on a game day.
ROOF TO BE OPEN
The roof at State Farm Stadium is expected to be open for Sunday's game against the Bears barring a weather change. The high temperature is expected to be 70 degrees.
