Wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald and the Cardinals will open the playoffs Saturday, Jan. 16, at 6:15 p.m.
The Cardinals, as the No. 2 playoff seed in the NFC, will host their Divisional round playoff game Saturday, Jan. 16, at University of Phoenix Stadium.
Kickoff is set for 6:15 p.m. Arizona time (8:15 ET) and will be televised on NBC – the network on which the
Cardinals were 3-0 this season in beating the Seahawks, Bengals and Eagles.
The opponent is to be determined on Wild Card weekend. The No. 6 Seahawks visit the No. 3 Vikings in one game, and the No. 5 Packers go to the No. 4 Redskins in the other. The Cardinals will play the highest seed remaining, while the No. 1 Carolina Panthers will host the lowest seed remaining. The Cards could see any team except for Seattle.
An announcement will be made as soon as playoff tickets for the general public are available.
The Cardinals (13-3), who lost to the Seahawks in their season finale Sunday, still set a franchise record for victories this season.
"We will be back here in front of our crowd in two weeks and we will see what happens then," cornerback Patrick Peterson said after the Seattle loss. "For the most part, we are still a good football team. We just have to go back to the drawing board and not let those little things continue to creep up on us."
