The Cardinals will host the Kansas City Chiefs to open the 2015 preseason.

The Cardinals will begin their 2015 preseason schedule with back-to-back home games at University of Phoenix Stadium and will appear on NBC's "Sunday Night Football" in the third week of the exhibition slate, it was announced Thursday.

The nationally televised NBC game will be in Oakland against the Raiders Aug. 30 at 5 p.m. Arizona time. First though, come the two home games against the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Diego Chargers.

The preseason AFC West tour concludes with a trip to Denver against the Broncos. It is the 10th time in the last 12 seasons the Cardinals' preseason has concluded against the Broncos.

Other than the game against the Raiders, specific dates have yet to be finalized. The Chiefs' game will be sometime the weekend of Aug. 13-17. The Chargers' game will be the weekend of Aug. 20-24. The Broncos' game will be either Sept. 3 or Sept. 4.

The Cardinals were also on "Sunday Night Football" the third week of the preseason last year, when they hosted Cincinnati.

The NFL is expected to release the entire regular-season schedule sometime in the next couple of weeks, prior to the draft. The Cardinals have home games this season against Green Bay, Minnesota, Cincinnati, Baltimore, New Orleans, Seattle, San Francisco and St. Louis. The Cardinals will have road games in Chicago, Detroit, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Philadelphia, Seattle, San Francisco and St. Louis.

The Cardinals open their strength and conditioning program April 20, with organized team activities starting May 19 and mandatory minicamp June 9-11. Training camp dates have yet to be announced.
